4th Day - Steven

Today I had yogurt for breakfast but forgot to take a picture. I will have it take a pic tomorrow. Wait until you see.

I spoke today at a local Rotary Club meeting and I was pleasantly surprised by their outstanding choices. I picked baked salmon, onions, tomatoes, and zucchini. The salad plate has strawberries and no dressing. Could not find anything with good oil.

Dinner was two hot-dogs (really healthy ones) cooked in eggs with some peppers and onions. For the picture again!

HEY!!! So far I am down 5 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Congrats on the weight loss. Keep it going. We had a wonderful salad for dinner, made my own dressing in the vitamix, but would still love to have your recipe.

  2. I noticed in some of your recipes that you included mushrooms, red and yellow peppers, and tomatoes. None of those are on the approved food list so I have been shoving them aside when I ate at restaurants. Are these allowed in Phase One?

Also, I have been doing very well on the eating plan but today experienced a need for sugar or something similar which I used to solve by eating marshmallows (really empty calories). Do you have any suggestions as an alternative?

  3. Just discovered that Kirsten, the raw pastry chef at 105 degrees, will make us raw desserts with the TBL of honey and allowed phase one fruit. The 'ice cream' was great, made with fresh coconut water, meat, berries and the pumpkin seed 'cookie' that she dehydrated was absolulety delicious.....
needs to sit in the dehydrator over night though so call ahead.....
$4 dollars for each dessert so far...
I also had the main raw chef, Seth, adjust 2 entrees for me that only had soaked raw almonds in them, and holding the regular macadamia and walnut mixes they use....the collard wraps were great!! anyone else have any specific 'to go' food that is a nice change?

  4. Regarding what to eat instead of a marshmallow. A spoonful of honey will help and it is allowed on Phase 1.

  5. Shawna, Good point and a great way to fight a sweet tooth. Just be careful, we are trying to balance blood sugar here and honey could mess with that!
